This year has been truly amazing! I've experienced so much as a baker, and I was blessed to meet a lot of people who have helped shape this extraordinary year. As we embark on 2015, I hope that we all get closer to achieving all of our goals.
In March 2014, I hosted my own event entitiled "Sweet Soiree", which was a night filled with cupcakes, cocktails, art (from yours truly), live music performances (thanks to Kayla Bliss @theloverebel, check out her music!), giveaways, and positive vibes. In the heart of Brooklyn, guests were treated to signature drinks, & delicious, unique cupcake flavors including the "Bar Fight", the crowd favorite!
Over the summer, I was able to sponsor events from VH1, comedy shows, art events, galleries, as well as events from my lovely clients. Yaya's Cakes was also featured on the Cake & Kisses Tour, a ridiculously cool combination of hip-hop, art, and delicious cake!
The end of the year allowed me to meet with other creatives to debut my first illuminated cake at "TheDRAPERExhibiton", hosted by the incomparable mixed media artist Ronald Draper (@ronalddraper_art). If you've never checked out his work, make sure you do!
As we close 2014, I would like to thank every single person, place, and thing that helped to make it so dynamic, and I look forward to doing it bigger and better in 2015. See you there! :)
